Stone Care & Warranty

Stone care is simple and easy! Just follow the steps below to keep your stones looking brand new!
Also ask about the cleaning products we offer.

Granite

Granite is one of the most beautiful and durable natural stone products in the world. Variation in grain, pattern and markings are inherited characteristics of the natural stone. We seal our granite before installation, but we do recommend sealing your countertops twice a year to maintain the stones stain resistance and strength. For day cleaning mild-soap and water or granite cleaner will do the trick!

Marble

Marble is a more elegant looking stone. The main reason marble countertop installation is not recommended in a kitchen, it's because it is more porous, so it easily absorbs liquid. Also marble is not as sturdy, so a sharp knife can scratch the surface. We seal our marble before installation, but a 3-4 months reseal is highly recommended. Use marble cleaner for daily cleaning.

Quartz

Quartz is a strong man-made stone, that is made to resist stains and scratches. This type of stone has little to no maintenance. Daily cleaning can be done with soap and water and sealing not required.

Soap Stone

When Soapstone is fresh from the quarry it is light gray color; that rich charcoal color soapstone is when the stone is exposed to water, grease and oils. These liquids cause the stone to oxidize, which darkens the stone’s color and really brings out its natural beauty. To help expedite oxidation of the stone, we recommend that you treat it with mineral oil from time to time. This treatment will keep oxidation uniform across the entire surface. You can clean your soapstone after using mineral oil by using any household cleaners such as Ajax or Comet. Usually just wiping the soapstone with soap and water works just fine. A soapstone sink will stand up to any mild cleaner. Sink corners can be easily kept clean with the use of a small vegetable brush when needed.
